Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair

21lur2jiil_aa200_.jpgThe Tripp Trapp is pricey and newborns who are just starting out on solids might not get the support they need for their bobbing heads, but for babies 6 months and up, it’s great and I think worth the price. The adjustable footrest and raised seat allows your little one to sit at the dinner table in clean view of the family. The chair is non-intrusive in size and it’s sleek, simple design proclaims its practical use. The Tripp Trapp also has cushions available in cute colors and prints to bring added comfort to your child when he is seated. Because the chair can grow with your child, this may be the last chair you buy until of course your husband tries to sit on it. Thankfully, it holds up to 300 pounds. The durability of the chair reflects the longevity of the Stokke brand, which has been around since 1932.mli.gif

I’m looking into this as a more permanent high chair-although the price is a bit much, it just might be worth the investment! I have found a similar one that has a removable bar across the front, which seems to be an added safety feature. Still in the research phase, but once I decide, I’ll be sure to let you know if mommy likes it!

If I knew about these when my kids were small, I’d have gotten one. or two. Then when I found out about them, I was too poor to invest in one. But this is a GREAT chair! Grows with the kid. Keeps hips and knees and ankles at a comfortable 90 degree angle. If you can pull off the price, I recommend it.

Please note that Tripp Trapp, and any chair for the matter, should
not be used until the baby can sit up unassisted on the floor. So the fact that this reviewer says that the chair does not provide the support for a four month old is absolutely correct; however, no baby should be put in ANY chair until he can sit up alone on the floor. What makes Tripp Trapp so unique is the fact that it offers correct support and comfort from six months to adulthood!
