The name of the product is cute (Baby Bonkie) and the styles are delightful as well with great colors and various fabric options. However, the Velcro closures are not durable enough to encase a fidgety baby or a larger-than-average baby (for instance mine). The snug blanket fits too tight, making my loved one look/feel more like a baby in a burrito wrap than a baby in a swaddling wrap. However, the lining is chenille making for a very warm refuge from a cold day. This machine washable blanket also comes available in a lot of options, with special attention paid to color details. As a new parent, I’m totally excited to find you guys! I’ll be definitely checking in a lot. Thanks for the review on the Baby Bonkie… my baby is huge, so I might have to take a closer look at the product, ha!

Word to the wise-when washing velcro, make sure that you put it in the wash with the velcro together. Otherwise, you will find all those cute little socks/clothes stuck to the velcro and you won’t get them off without a little damage!

I have two of these, but the swaddle me make, my son loves them and keeps him nice and secure. He likes to be swaddled up when he sleeps, but regular blankets come undone when he wiggles during the night.
