The wupzey food catcher is designed for finger food eaters (5-18 months of age). It attaches to the sides of the highchair with velcro and fit around the footrest of the highchair with elastic. The idea of this product is great, because let’s face it, what mom enjoys cleaning up the floors after every snack and meal? The price is reasonable, and it comes in a variety of fabrics. However, there were a few problems I had with this product. Most of the food that I find off my child’s tray is IN her highchair or off the sides of the tray. It sticks to the sides, so any food that is thrown off the sides of the tray is not caught. This is designed to catch food that falls through the highchair or over the top of the tray. We use one of the spacesaver highchairs that attaches to a chair, so it doesn’t have a footrest. This creates a gap at the bottom, thus completely eliminating the “catcher”. Needless to say, even if it did catch all the food, cleanup still requires taking it off the highchair and cleaning it out. To me, it’s just as easy to pull out the broom or let the dog clean the floor.

What a bummer I was hoping that this would have worked well.
