THIS CONTEST HAS NOW ENDED CONGRATULATIONS JANET, ERIN, SWEETPEAS, AND STEVIE!
Oh my goodness. When Shi Shu sent me their baby blanket I flipped out at how much I loved it! I could tell from their site that the blankets were cute, but in person the quality is just impeccable. It has this vintage-inspired look about it that just makes you feel like you have the best in designer blankets. Made with 60% cotton and 40% bamboo the hand-feel is quite unique. The 100% bamboo trim feels like silk, any baby would be sure to love it. These natural hand-woven blankets are a winner. Hear what the creator of Shi Shu blankets has to say about their birth…
SHI SHU BABY™ blankets were designed with my son in mind. When he was born, he received several cozy, fluffy blankets from friends and family. Many of these blankets were made of microfiber/polyester. Unfortunately, my son’s favorite blanket, made of microfiber/polyester, caused him to break out into a rash. That’s when I decided to design a line of blankets made only of natural fibers. When I started researching alternative fabrics/fibers, I discovered Bamboo and fell in love with it’s qualities. Bamboo is antibacterial, soft as silk, keeps you cool in the Summer, keeps you warm in the Winter and most importantly…BREATHES! When the SHI SHU BABY™ blanket design was finalized, I decided that I would love to have a larger version for myself. So I designed the signature SHI SHU HOME™ throw.
I’m a blanket fanatic and have recommended several on Does Mommy Love It? I would suggest these if you want something that is truly unique, soft, and wonderful.

I think the Celadon blankets are gorgeous. I love love love the fact that these blankets are made out of cotton and bamboo! I have a similar experience with the owner in that my baby breaks out in a rash with the fluffy polyester blankets. They are so not breathable that he sweats like crazy also. Glad to know there are momtrepreneurs out there looking out for the rest of us mamas!

I love bamboo. I have bamboo clothes, towels and socks for my daughters, a bamboo blanket would be so wonderful for my 7 year old. I know these are for babies, but as a lap blanket for my daughter (who has been buggin’ me for bamboo clothes ever since she felt the towel we have), would be such a great gift to her for the holidays!
