Denim is something that I have to admit, I know very little about. My husband on the other hand, is quite knowledgeable on both denim’s history as well as current trends and designers. When it comes to my little boy’s jeans, we have found that many designers do not fit him properly because he is (like his daddy) tall for his age and slim. Many jeans that are long enough for his legs are too loose in the waist! Also, many of his previous jeans’ quality left much to be desired.

Bec Moloughney created the Australian company Little Rivet Jeans or LRJ, with a strong focus on quality, fit, and finish. Moloughney has a wonderful history in the Australian fashion world that included a 6-year stint at the mother of all denim brands, Levis. With a variety of cuts and washes, these jeans look better than most adult jeans and the fit is phenomenal on my two year old! The length is more than long enough and the waist can easily be cinched on the inside thanks to an internal elastic band creating the perfect, comfortable fit!

My son has three pairs of these fantastic jeans in his wardrobe that include the Peg Leg raw indigo, Square Straight in a grey wash, and the Loose Straight in a streaky blue wash. My husband’s favorite and similar to many of his own designer jeans. Little Rivet definitely gets kudos from this mother of two! Be sure to check out her site and choose a style for your young one.

I like their jeans, but I wish they had their measurements in both metric and imperial measurements. It is easy enough to convert them, but it would be nice to not have to.
