Who knew a duck had a dream to sing on Broadway?! and in New York City of all places?! I certainly know that can’t be true; however, we all have a dream. My kids just soaked up this clever, adorable story by Connie Kaldor (a winner of the Parents’ Choice Gold award & Juno Award). This is truly a tale close the human heart… it’s about hope and resilience. A duck leaves behind all he has and travels to New York City with a big dream: to perform his ducky dance on Broadway. It becomes an adventurous journey with bumps along the way, until he meets up with a truck driver named Big Betty. She points him in the right direction and gives him that little push he needs to tackle the Big Apple. Of course, whether you are a duck or you, anyone can relate to this story achieving your dreams with the help of friends.
A Duck in New York City app kept my kids captivated for hours! This app features amazing sound quality and narration, stunning animations from the original book, a recording option, as well easy navigation. However, that’s not all, the best feature. The best feature is the that you can sing the theme song in karaoke. My kids memorized the song and sang their hearts out! Quacking away as if they were on Broadway!
