Team

Our goal at DoesMommyLoveIt.com is to share our opinions on items you may be thinking of purchasing to make life with your children easier and more enjoyable. Each product will be rated one of four ways:

  1. Mommy loves it.
  2. Mommy likes it.
  3. Mommy thinks it’s okay.
  4. Mommy says don’t bother.

That is only half of the fun, we want you to participate too! How? Two ways.

First, comment on any and all the products you have experience with and let us know if you love it, like it, think it’s okay, or not worth the bother. Others will learn from your input just as much as ours!

Second, we will host regular group writing projects with a topic related to best and worst, funniest, cheapest, etc. products you have had. That will be your chance to write on your blog and we will feature links from all the participators in one post! It will be a great way to both, direct new traffic to your site, and find new sites you will love!

Now that you know what DoesMommyLoveIt.com is about, let us introduce you to the players.

carolinepic.jpg After graduating with an English degree from Rutgers University, I did what most urbanite English majors living near New York City do upon leaving school—I went into fashion! Having interned at Polo Ralph Lauren while in college, it was a natural extension of my appreciation for stylistic quality.

My experience spans from the luxurious (I was a Merchandiser at Chanel) to cosmetics beauty (L’Oreal) to the everyday woman (Juicy Couture, Liz Claiborne). It was during my career journey that a new surprise changed my life. In 2004, a baby boy entered my life.

The opportunity to merge my passion for style and love for motherhood has been an ongoing dream of mine, and I am excited to join my dear friend Elizabeth on this new venture. I think you’ll also find this site as a great place to connect with other moms and get some real-person insight on various products.

Things I love to do are taking walks with my family in Central Park, chatting up with close friends, photography, literature, crosswords, deep talks over coffee and finding a great pair of jeans.

mz-profile-pic.jpegMy experience runs deep in creative related industries. While studying Fashion & Product Development at the Ohio State University I worked in both design and color management at the Home office of Abercrombie & Fitch for 4 years. I continued work at Abercrombie post graduation in Men’s woven shirt design as an assistant designer.

A year later in that role, I relocated to Nashville and began an exciting career art directing and overseeing production of merchandise for bands to sell on the road.

In 2001, my husband and I were blessed with a baby boy. As a result, I made the decision to leave the work world for a few years. Now residing in my hometown with my husband and two boys, I have started working from home designing anything from birth announcements to blog themes.

I have been a “blogger” for 3 years, and currently run four sites as well as contributing to two others. Customizing a special home for people’s blogs excites me. I understand the importance of creating a blog that has the look and feel that lines up with both the mission and creator. I do this through my design business at Gazelle Creative.

My favorite things are family, my faith in Jesus, coffee, friends, play dates, learning, designing, reading, blogging, vacations, music, current events and the beach.
