THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ANNA, YOU ARE THE WINNER!

When you’re on the go with the little one, the last thing you want to be doing is searching through your huge diaper bag looking for a bottle or snacks or keys. That is why the Soft Buggy Cup is a perfect addition to your stroller. With a cylinder shape, it is perfect for your child’s bottle, but I’ve found it equally handy for carrying small toys or ready-to-go snacks. Held by Velcro straps, it can be easily taken off the strollers, but because the material is made of soft, mesh-like material that flattens when you fold your stroller, there’s really no need to ever take the Soft Buggy Cup off. We often stroll our baby through the rough sidewalks of New York City, and have noticed that the Soft Buggy Cup can hold bottles without it fallingout. It also has a drawstring to close objects that are on the smaller side.4kids3

In the happenchance that you do spill liquid, the material is easy to clean. It only comes in two color schemes (orange/silver and black/silver), but it is stylish enough. Considering its practical usefulness, it’s a great purchase for the $15 ticket price.  Not to mention, it’s very versatile and functional.  You can use not only on strollers, but on your child’s scooter, bedside, wheelchairs, and etc.

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!  CONGRATULATIONS, JESSY, YOU ARE THE WINNER!

There is something so special about receiving gifts that are personalized—it means it can only be yours and no one else’s.  A deep sense of ownership overtakes you.  This is how my son felt when he received a personalized book from Frecklebox.   Every time I read through the book, he would  shout emphatically, “That’s me, that’s my name and it’s in the book.” An outdoorsy kid, he recieved the Nature Book and loved every illustration of his name, creatively spelled out with seashells, pigeons, clouds.  Also, the story itself is very entertaining.  The joy and the sense ofpicking_flowers_big_thumb pride that accompanies his avid enjoyment of reading, makes his desire to read grow even more.  That is why I admire the mantra behind Frecklebox. On the their website, it states, Frecklebox is on a mission to educate and entertain. THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.  CONGRATS, AUBREY, YOU ARE THE WINNER!

I have to admit, I was spoiled as a baby. My mom made all my baby food.  WHAT?  True, she did.  But me?  Oh that is so not my forte… but I still want to make sure my baby is getting the best.  What is a mom to do?

Answer… Yummy In My Tummy.

The founders are Karen and Michael Stanley.  While introducing their “little tummy” to solids they realized that there was little being offered that was truly tasteful in the organic baby food department.  Their research ensued.  They knew there had to be a better alternative and set out to create it.

Michael with his extensive background in the culinary field hit the kitchen creating while Karen with her background in government used her researching skills to learn all the differences between conventional and organic foods.  With all their information and recipies Yummy In My Tummy was born!

The expertise does not stop there!  They teamed up with Chef James Casterlin whose resume includes being asked to serve at the White House!  Between Casternlin and the Stanleys a team was born.

Yummy In My Tummy foods are organic and toxin free.  The packaging is 100% safe and BPA free.   Speaking of Packaging… can you say cute.  Just look at them.  They look like little versions of food you may pick up at your own local farmers market.  Or at least the ones I know!

So how did the taste test go with my little tummy?  MMM… MMM… Good.  She seemed to love them.  I was so impressed, I went to my local green market and asked them to start carrying it.

So how do you get this yummy food for your little tummy?  Simply visit Yummy In My Tummy Store and get started!  In the meanwhile ask your local grocery store to carry it!

Would you like to try Yummy In My Tummy out for free!!!  They are giving Does Mommy Love It? readers a chance to check it out with 24 containers of their baby food.  That is a weeks worth!  To enter comment on one fact you learned about Yummy In My Tummy from their site.  For additional entries:

Baby Papasan Infant Seat by Fisher-Price

412zk4pr2l_ss350_The Baby Papasan Infant Seat by Fisher-Price is a must have for new mommies and newbies.  I randomly decided on this because I already knew what I did not like.  Having done some research and seeing all of the options baby market, I knew  that I did not want a bouncy chair.  I wanted an infant seat that is sturdy ( not bouncy) , has a seat restraint system to secure my baby safely, and a comfortable material and cushioning for my newborn’s fragile body.  Baby Papasan Infant Seat by Fisher-Price was exactly all these. My son slept in it and just comfortably laid in it just seeing life for the first time.  On top of these features, it has a vibrating option as well as a music option that lasts 15 minutes to soothe and calm.  It also has an adjustable and removable mirror dome to entertain and where my newborn can gaze at his reflection and also enjoy reaching for a sweet plush toy with a rattle that dangles down from the mirror for my baby to play. It was perfect!  In my mind, I just couldn’t imagine my baby bouncing back and forth on a chair as he grew.  It did not make me have peace picturing that  even if he was tightly fastened in. The  Baby Papasan Infant Seat by Fisher-Price comes in various colors and styles and costs range from $35 to $70.  The fabric is super soft and washable.

Day Out With Thomas- the Great Discovery Tour

No Gravatar

My 4 year old and 2 year old are possibly Thomas the Tank Engines biggest fans, so you can imagine their delight when they found out he was riding into town.  The day finally came and we told our bright eyed little ones.  We headed out on a 90 degree humid day to the event.  When we entered we were given a sheet and told if we went to each station and got a stamp we would get a free gift at the end.  The stations consisted of picture time with sir Toppham Hat, a tent with multiple train tables, story-time tent, Bounce houses, and picture time with Thomas.  The free gift at the end was a magnet frame for your pictures.  There was also a big room with thomas toys galore that you could spend your money on.

Our train tickets were for 4pm so we jumped into line at 3:45.  When it was finally time to board the children were in awe.  The train ride was really slow and 25 minutes long.  To us it was rather boring, but the boys loved it.

After the train ride it was time to take pictures with Thomas.  Owen felt let down that Thomas did not talk.  There was no QT with thomas either, it was simply a quick picture then on to the next little boy.  I think they should have had a thomas that the kids could climb on and touch.  Kids love discovering that way.

We left shortly after picture time and were slightly disappointed.  For $18 a ticket we expected a little more from our experience.  The boys did not know any different, but we know we did not get our money’s worth.  They could have added more stations like face painting, thomas balloon making, a thomas maze, Sodar playground…  These are things that would have made it more worth the money.  But with 3 bounce houses and some dinky stations it just did not live up to our expectations.  Still we are glad we went because the boys feel like they have met thomas.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on the Zaida Baby Post for a chance to win the Zaida Baby Keepsake Book! Contest ends SEPTEMBER 13TH AT MIDNIGHT EST.
