Philips Avent SCD 590 Digital Two-Parent Baby Monitor
Philips introduces a baby monitor with a sleek design and new DECT technology. Heavily reliable, it gives complete peace of mind for parents. It has two small portable cordless parental units for moving freely around the house with visible link indicators that show continuous connection with the baby monitor. I love the cool design and it truly has clear reception and I haven’t encountered any static. The coolest feature of this monitor is that is also functions as a nightlight, which an array of stars light up. However, I have a couple of problems.
1) the volume, at its highest, is still relatively low
2) the battery life for the mobile parental units is short
3) it’s very pricey.
Crane Adorable One Gallon Cool Mist Humidifiers
Initially, I was attracted to the cuteness of this humidifier because it comes in many different animal shapes such as a frog, cow, penguin and even Hello Kitty! But for the child who has a cold, this humidifier works. It’s quiet, easy to use, very efficient (operates on a low power consumption providing up to 11 hours of moisture from a removable one gallon water tank) and cheap. It costs around $30. Plus, the filters are very cheap to replace. It’s a necessity for those long, cold winter months!
Babystyle.com’s- Porter the Pubby and LuLu the Lamb
My boys each have one of these plush stuffed animals found at babystyle.com. (I’m sad to say that these will not be available in our store.) I can not tell you all the things they have done with these animals friends. At times they have been wrestling partners. Other times they have been crucial supports for fort building. And more conventionally, they have watched a good percentage of their t.v. in the arms of these little buddies. The options never seem to run out.
What mom loves about them? They still look good in the family room! Their neutral colors make them fit into any setting. I myself have even found myself laying on the floor, using them as a pillow.
At a price tag of $78.00 they may seem expensive, but they’ll last! If you think about it as a friend for your little one and an important piece of furniture the price tag does not seem so bad.
