Britex Marathon Convertable Car Seat

41u944vhkl_aa280_.jpgWith its backward and forward functionality, and overall general comfort for baby Britex’s Marathon Car Seat wins best all around. I absolutely love that I could use it for am infant all the way up to my 3 year old. This is one reason that I have two of them! They look great in my car and my children have never complained once of discomfort. I would buy this seat over and over again If I needed to. After 3 years of absolute boy-style wear and tare they still look brand new. What more could a mini-van momma ask for?mlvi1.gif

Crayola Color Wonder Books and Markers

41yl2qkf9-l_aa220_.jpgOver the weekend, I was at a friend’s house and her 2-year-old boy was sitting at his desk coloring.  As I watched him color, I noticed that the ink on the marker would only appear when he was coloring on the paper on his doodle pad.  I thought to myself, This is so cool, so I decided to do some research on this product and buy one for my son.  It’s called Color Wonder from Crayola, and its unique ink will only appear on its special paper. The ink is clear on most surfaces, but each marker “magically” shows up as a specific color on its Color Wonder paper. It allows your kiddies to explore the wonder of color and not make a mess!  Put away those magic erasers for your walls, furniture and floors!  Plus, these books and markers come in a variety of different Disney/Pixar packages (Cars, Princesses, Nemo and etc.) and the best part is that you can take it anywhere.  Use it in the car, a restaurant, at the park or even at the beach.  It provides long hours of great enjoyment for your child.  One down side is that the extra Color Wonder coloring pads are a bit on the expensive side, but I still think it’s worth it. mlvi1.gif

Aquatic Bobbers

41fkxasruwl_aa280_.jpgMy son loves these bath toys. He immerses them into the water and loves hearing them make bubble noises. As he holds them underwater the water fills up and they provide a wide variety of water straining activities. Also, the soft edges on the outer part give teething gums relief. It comes in a pack of two, one features a frog and the other features a fish. The animals bob back and forth when it’s just floating in the water, making it for an enjoyable sight. However, I noticed that after a couple of months of play in the water, the plastic started to discolor and get covered with soap scum. So, although the toys are great for a limited time only, you’re child will surely enjoy them.mtio2.gif

Babystyle.com’s- Porter the Pubby and LuLu the Lamb

13456_mid_t2.jpg 18481_mid_t2.jpgMy boys each have one of these plush stuffed animals found at babystyle.com. (I’m sad to say that these will not be available in our store.) I can not tell you all the things they have done with these animals friends. At times they have been wrestling partners. Other times they have been crucial supports for fort building. And more conventionally, they have watched a good percentage of their t.v. in the arms of these little buddies. The options never seem to run out.

What mom loves about them? They still look good in the family room! Their neutral colors make them fit into any setting. I myself have even found myself laying on the floor, using them as a pillow.

At a price tag of $78.00 they may seem expensive, but they’ll last! If you think about it as a friend for your little one and an important piece of furniture the price tag does not seem so bad.mlvi1.gif

Parents Magazine Bee Bop Band

41pc9eesnml_aa280_.jpgParents Magazine Bee Bop Band offers hours of creativity for your little one. Music is excellent for child brain development. What better reasons could their be to purchase this item? My son received it for his 1st birthday and played with it all the time. We even enjoyed playing it along with him. Parents Magazine Bee Bop Band is useful at playdates! Simply have each child pick an instrument and bang away. This definitely can’t be called a quite toy. The only complaint I have is that the drum did not last through everything my two boys have been capable of putting it through. Still the two years we had with it were thoroughly enjoyed.mli1.gif

Mini Micro Scooter

41elmp-ehjl_aa280_.jpgOne thing is certain—my kid loves it! This lightweight scooter designed and made by the renowned Swiss manufacturer Micro, lives up to its awards. My son got this as a gift for his 3rd birthday, and a day doesn’t go by when he isn’t scooting himself all over the house. Unlike other bulky scooters, the Micro is a surprisingly smooth and quiet ride, and its soft frame leaves me worry-free from scratches along the house. The scooter has withstood numerous tumbles down the staircase, and has noticeably improved my child’s feet coordination. Only caveat is that the Micro glides exceptionally fast, so please have your child helmet ready. It comes in pink for girls! My verdict echoes my son’s:mlvi1.gif

Melissa and Doug 40 pc Basic Cardboard Blocks

51wnkqzunml_aa280_.jpgMelissa and Doug 40 pc Basic Cardboard Blocks are a classic toy. I can even remember enjoying these thoroughly myself as a child. That is why Christmas 2006 I determined my boys had to have them. These particular blocks are available in 24 and 40 piece sets. I highly recommend paying the little extra to get the larger set so that your children can maximize the experience. I had to write on these blocks today because I had the joy of watching my boys (3 years and 2 years) play together with them. Their creativity never runs out with this toy. Forts, buildings, crashing walls for the bottom of the slide, the options don’t run out. They even make me want to get on the floor and play with them.

The downside to this toy? The assembly! Yes you have to fold every block into being. Not fun, but well worth the effort. That’s why Melissa and Doug 40 pc Basic Cardboard Blocks are one of my favorite kid toys.mlvi.gif
