SUPER WHY!

My son loves this show. This incredible series is designed to help kids ages 3-6 read through interactive reading adventures with familiar childhood stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Three Little Pigs. The episodes start with a preschool-related problem and teaches them how to find a resolution with literacy powers. It’s a very creative and thought-provoking show that enhances their troubleshooting skills. Check out an episode and see why my son wants to be Super Why.
Beaba Babycook
Anyone can start making their own baby food. This is the secret… Beaba Babycook. Originating from France, the baby-food maker functions as a steamer, processor, warmer and blender, it has won praise throughout Europe and now is finally available to families in the U.S. This small appliance starts by steam-cooking vegetables, fruits, meat and fish in less than 15 minutes, preserving the valuable vitamins and flavors, then purees or blends them to the desired texture. Moreover, it also operates as a re-heater or defroster for precooked foods, which is ideal for busy parents like me. It comes with a 2 1/2-cup polycarbonate bowl, cooking basket, spatula and recipe booklet. The bowl and basket are dishwasher safe, and the size makes for easy storage on counter tops and in cabinets. However, it is quite pricey, and you’re likely to find some baby food processors that are half the price.
The Flipper
Sanitizing your toothbrushes may be easier than you think. With Flipper toothbrush holders, I feel more confident that my son’s toothbrush is actually cleaning his teeth instead of spreading bacteria. As you may have read or heard, the toothbrush holder is only one small germy step above laying your toothbrush on the bathroom sink.
These clever and practical toothbrush holders suction tightly to the wall tile and keep the brushes self-contained, so there is minimal chance of passing germs from brush to brush. The best part is that it comes in a variety of colors and shapes. Your kids just push and pull their toothbrush in and out of the Flipper without ever having to touch the bristles. Plus, the Flipper also has razor holders. Even better, they are so cheap, costing $3.99 each. They are simply a fabulous addition to your bathroom.
Restoration Hardware Baby & Child
I’m drooling at the mouth. I have an incredible affinity toward all things Restoration Hardware. My house is painted the color of the store and I have purchased a “few” things as furniture. All my drapes come from there. They have just announced a new child of their own! Restoration Hardware for children! Oh Lord have mercy on my husband.
Needless to say…

The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide
“For first-time moms without time or inclination to dally in stores comparing various items for their babies, Maclean and Schultz have compiled a handy baby-gadget buying encyclopedia.” Is how the Baby Gizmo Buying Guide is described. This mommy has to agree.
How I wish I had something like this when we were just starting our family. With the vast amount of baby products out there getting lost is easy. What do you need and what do you not need? Heather Maclean and Holly Schultz have attempted to take their years of baby buying and basically give you a cheat sheet. The sheet just happens to be 457 pages long.
The length would be my only complaint about this book. It makes it seem as intimidating as buying the actual products themselves! However, if you view it as an encyclopedia or reference instead of a book you read from beginning to end the size should not matter, but rather encourage you! For instance if you are interested in buying a new stroller simply turn to chapter 25 and get the low-down.
Special extras in this book are a special section on safety, growth charts and milestonese, a registry list, a section on the perfectly packed diaper bag, a baby brand pronunciation guide, a money saving chapter, and the top 10 things they wished they knew when they were having children. The extras alone could be their own book!
After seeing this book I can definitely say
Now here is the fun part!!!!! I have 3 copies to give away for free! All you have to do is enter and make sure your email field is filled out. You have until April 11th to enter. Spread the word. It is appreciated but not required for you to mention this contest on your own blog and link to this post.
Game on!
Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers
Reduce risk of diaper dash, get first-rate absorbency performance and help the environment. That’s all in a day’s work for the Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diaper. This made-in-the-U.S. diaper has slowly become a favorite among eco-focused moms, and with its cloth-like comfort, babies will show you their appreciation as well. This chlorine-free diaper relieves the world of adding more dioxin pollution, which is a toxin that is believed to cause cancer. The only knock is that the seventh generation is a bit smaller, which creates a snug feel for the baby, but some more opportunities for leakage. In addition, the absorbent is gel based, so don’t be surprised if you see some gel beads leak out on a really full diaper. Still, for a little bit of a cost upgrade, you are making a giant stride for holistic parenting.
DWINK
This DWINK is a very simple product and very practical. It’s a clever product made of plastic that prevents juice squirting and spilling. The contoured shape fits drink boxes and pouches of all sizes. It’s very well made with a non-skid base and provides handles for little hands. Its also comes in cute color variations. However, I find that it’s not really necessary for moms with kids until you’ve really experienced major juice spillage.
Infant Rearview Mirror
As moms, we drive everywhere. Whether it’s running errands, picking up and dropping kids off school, or getting a cup of morning coffee, this rear view infant mirror is a great accessory in the car. It allows us to safely see our rear-facing infant clearly. We can get an eye on our babies. See them smiling, falling asleep and playing while you drive. The mirror has a simple attachment, fits most vehicles and comes in cute animals characters. You can choose from a panda bear, to a dog to a bear. Once your child is out of a rear-facing seat, you can use it as a fun mirror toy as well as put it inside a crib.
