Dr. Brown is an official spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics and a trusted source on children’s health care. She’s been featured on NBC’s Today Show and is a medical adviser to Parents Magazine. Denise Fields is the best-selling author of Baby Bargains and has been featured as a parenting expert on Oprah and in the Wall Street Journal. Baby 411 is a great resource, written with a sense of humor that is grounded in reality, Baby 411 gives parents the information they need in a straight-forward and scientific manner. Filled with information regarding appropriate approach to infant and child care with intelligient instruction of children’s health and timeline. It’s broken into six sections: 1) Preparing for the new baby, 2) Care & Feeding, 3) Sleep, Developemtn and Discipline, 4) Sickness and How to Avoid It!, 5) First Aid-Top 12 Problems and Solutions, 6) The Reference Library. Each section then, is divided into chapters for more detailed information. I love that it’s a Q & A format, which makes it definitely personal. Also, it includes icons such as “red flags, helpful hints, realtiy check, and etc.” Very comprehensive (over 400+ pages) yet very easy to understand makes it useful when looking up any questions you might have during a baby’s first year of life.
