Sugoi & Go Lite

There’s no better motivation for working out than having such sleek quality gear to wear.  Leave it to Sugoi to outfit you to perfection with comfort and style.  Their midzero tights are absolutely fabulous!  They are form fitting and keep my legs warm through the cold climate.  I have been wearing these for a couple of months to ensure that they are as durable as them claim.  Most workout apparel I own wear out quite quickly with amount of use I give them, however these Mid Zero tights still stand firm and look as good as new.  Though my workouts have decreased lately, I am thankful for the stretch drawstring elastic waist to allow for my ever-expanding pregnant belly! :)

To complete my workout apparel is the Sugoi Hatha Zip Hoodie!  Comfort and warmth are both also one of the biggest draws for me to this awesome hoodie.  Also I love the extra length on the sleeves and thumbholes that keep my hands warm on chilly morning walks.

The travel lite tote by Go Lite is a great everyday or gym bag.  It has lots of pockets for internal organization.  The straps are super comfortable and the outer covering is resistant to water damage.  I love that I can zip this bag up and don’t have to worry about my belongings falling out.  The Go Lite tote is another great accessory for my exercise routine!

Fiona Kate Boxes

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.  CONGRATS STACIE, YOU ARE THE WINNER!

Keeping a well organized home is easier when you have an attractive system of organization.  Australian company Fiona Kate makes storage boxes, bags, sacks, labels, decals, and more.  They are modern, sturdy, and very easy to put together.  When I received two of their cherry red boxes along with the chalkboard decal stickers, I was very impressed!

Fiona Kate boxes are made from corflute, which is a super strong polypropylene. They are definitely durable enough to hold some heavy cargo.  I turned my two boxes into a “craft box” and “animal box”.  I just slipped on the label and placed all the items in the appropriate spot and voila! – a beautiful storage system that is easily accessible!  The prices range from $13 to about $80 depending on size.  You can also invest in their starter pack for about $120.00.  This is pretty reasonable considering a few of their boxes can be used as table and chairs.  When you purchase a set of these boxes be sure to add on their adorable “chalk spot” labels!  I haven’t found chic, recycled boxes like these yet! I am totally in love!

FLUF

FLUF photo

Canadians Nathalie Butterfield and Terra Kushner, designed FLUF in the summer of 2005.  They started with pillows, which eventually led to purses, storage bins, floaters, and more.  At the time it was near impossible for them to find fabrics that were manufactured using sustainable materials and practices, so they created their own!  Their entire fabric line is “hand-printed locally in small runs on chemical-free hemp and organic cotton, using water-based, biodegradable dyes”.

Their Tomato Blizzard pillow is a standout from their line.  This pillow is not only fabulously designed, but also filled with 95% feather and 5% down making it exceptionally soft.  I love laying my head on these pillows after a long day with the kiddo.  However, I try to avoid over using it because it sits so beautifully as a décor on my bed.  They make a great decoration and add a great accent for our bedroom.  I look forward to investing in more of them in the near future.

Felt Bin

Storage bins have become an important commodity in my home.  Since having a child, I’ve collected slews of toys and crafts.  I desperately needed a sleek modern and durable one to hold a few playthings in my living room.  FLUF makes the BEST felt storage bins for that particular need.  Their storage bins are 1/4” Thick technical felt, made from 75% recycled wool and 25% other recycled materials. They are also lined with black vinyl, which makes for easy cleaning.  The other day I was organizing my son’s toys and had to empty out the bin.  I discovered particles of food my son had tossed in.  The vinyl allowed me to use a wet rag to clean without difficulty.  I am truly thankful for these remarkable eco-friendly bins!

Misha Tote Bag

FLUF fabric moves beyond pillows into very chic totes.  Their Misha bag happens to be my favorite.  It echoes a bit with the design of the blizzard pillows.  I love the simple yet edgy fabric.  The tote is spacious enough to use as a diaper bag.  I carry, at one time, umbrellas, diapers, reusable bags, wallet, water bottles, books, and more in this tote.  It’s made with 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton.  I switched my designer bag days for this fashionable earth friendly tote.  Fluf design is on my top ten favorite companies and I encourage you to check them out!

Mighty Buggy Hook by Think King

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!  CONGRATS JULIE, YOU ARE THE WINNER!

Every mom knows that there is never enough space to put things; especially when you are out and about. The Mighty Buggy Hook by Think King is a great place to start. One pack comes with 2 hooks, so it was great to test it on both my “snap and go” stroller and our double stroller. The strong velcro that attaches the hook to the stroller was very effective and after absolutely over-loading the hook I felt very confident it would stay in place. My favorite aspect of this “Mighty Buggy Hook,” is that it is small and strong. I have used quite a few stroller hooks with my 2 boys and the plastic ones have all broken because of the weight of my bags and the other steel hooks are very large and always cause my bags to drag on the ground. One little hook did the trick. My only problem with the Mighty Buggy Hook is that you really should use both for one stroller to even out the weight of the bags, and that is sometimes complicated. Just my purse was fine, but when I had 2 bags on the hook or even a relatively heavy bag (like the enormous one that I had from Ikea) it was awkward to have it right in the middle but also made the stroller tip backwards if I moved the bags around too much. Overall I think it is the best hook available, and incidentally I saw it marketed for wheelchairs or powerchairs as well and could also be used in the kitchen or garage to hang things on. So with just a few minor issues, I think this is a great product.

If you are a city mom, you walk pretty much anywhere and everywhere to go shopping.  As a suburban mom, you drive to go shopping yet you need help lugging multiple shopping bags from the car to your house or on your grocery shopping cart.  The Mommy Hook is the perfect solution! It is the bigger version of a carabiner and acts as a stroller hanger. Use it to hold diaper bags, shopping bags, camera bags, groceries, purses, clothes, toys, sports gear, and much more! The Mommy Hook is built to last, which means it’s made from durable, heavy-duty aluminum, so it won’t break easily.  It is also lightweight and versatile, and fits virtually all stroller handles. Plus, it has a rubber guide to keep it from slipping or sliding. Just snap it on and you’re ready to roll!  One warning, make sure you use it with caution, using The Mommy Hook on lightweight strollers will cause them to tip over.
