Marla Taviano once again does not disappoint. Her newest book, Expecting, is a prayer book and devotional for anyone expecting, or expecting to expect! Each chapter is to be read during a phase of your journey from ovulation, to implantation, to the crucial development phases of the little baby inside your womb. I was actually bought to tears reading some of the chapters because the development of life is so completely beautiful. To think of praying such great things over baby as they are developing is truly amazing.
Each week you are given:
- A prayer for your child’a body and soul
- A devotional messegs
- A carfully selected scripture
- An inspirational quote
- A “body and soul” reflection for mom
- A space for you to journal your own thoughts and prayers.
I’m really hoping this book leads to a follow up that is for babies 1st year, toddler years, and so on. This book would make a wonderful shower gift. It is one that along with your journal thoughts could become something you treasure forever.
