Smartwool
As I continue to explore my newfound passion for the outdoors, it is important for me to be outfitted with the right gear. I absolutely dread being cold so having clothes to prevent this on a hike or long walk through the woods is important. Smartwool has helped to make my hikes much more enjoyable!
Many of my hiker friends are very familiar with Smartwool. They are obsessed with their wonderful wool socks. When I received a pair of socks, I was a bit skeptical because the price of a pair of socks was more than I had ever paid (they retail for about 20 dollars a pair). After testing these socks I am now a die-hard fan! These wool socks not only keep my feet warm, but also happen to be the most comfortable blend I have ever put on my feet. Some facts I learned about Smartwool is that their wool regulates body temperature, fights off bacteria, and moves sweat off your body while it’s still a vapor. My most favorite fact is that it is natural, renewable resource that is easier on the environment!
Smartwool’s technological use of wool helps them to create some wonderfully warm hats and scarves for kids and comfy sweaters for women. My toddler now sports their extremely warm hat and scarf through the winter storms we have been having on the east coast. Not only are they incredibly warm, but trendy as well. I have their W’s Valley Trainer Sweater that is made from 100% merino wool and regulates body temperature.
Smartwool is a very cool and durable must-have outerwear company. I will definitely be adding more pairs of Smart Wool socks to my wardrobe. They are definitely worth the price! Their sweaters have been lifesavers for me through the brisk cold winter of NYC. I no longer have to worry about wearing five layers because one of their sweaters and a coat do the job just fine!
