Stella McCartney’s Fall 2008 Collection for LeSportsac

Last spring, I had the wonderful privilege to attend Stella McCartney’s Fall 2008 Collection Preview. Oh my, can I tell you how amazing it was? Not only is Stella McCartney a talented designer, she is an inspiration! I got a glimpse of her phenom through her vision board, which included little tidbits of what inspires her to bring forth her creative ideas into reality. Stella McCartney (a modern innovator of desirable fashion) along with LeSportsac (a leading manufacturer of functional nylon handbags), have developed a lifestyle collection for moms. Combining everyday functionality with a strong fashion sensibility, the two incorporated a variety of handbags and luggage that can be used across all aspects of life—work, travel, shop for the busy modern mom today. The collection consists of 11 pieces and is versatile and the detailing is impeccable! My favorite is the “Essential Day Bag,” which has compartments to place make-up, notepads, baby items, and even insulating space for bottles and water! Plus, it’s large enough to carry a laptop. I love it—multi-functioning tote for the multi-tasking mom! The design make up of bag is subdued, sophisticated tones of earth, blues and greys with classy gold tone zippers contrasted by tonal linings. A snap out cosmetic case accompanies each tote and handbag. Lastly, I haven’t told you the best part. All of the fabrics are generated from 100% recycled, biodegradable materials!!! Very durable and strong yet still feminine and light. Although the price point of these bags is quite pricey (between $300-$495), it’s worth it!
