Does Mommy Love It?

Because green living is something that many of us are trying do more and more of, I think it’s important to find new ways to be more eco friendly.  Did you know that you can now wear a watch that is eco friendly?  Sprout watches are colorful timepieces that are designed with the planet in mind.  They are made with a corn resin case, bezel, reflector ring, a movement holder, organic cotton strap, natural bamboo dial, and a mercury free dial!  In addition, the company strives for eco friendly practices like shipping by sea rather than air, using smaller, more recyclable packaging, and even taking mass transit and carpooling instead of personal transportation.  Now that is commitment!

Just because they are made using green practices doesn’t mean they forfeit any appeal in appearance.   I like the color combination options and the simplicity of design.  Because of this, anyone can wear these watches!  I am thankful for companies who are thinking outside the box in terms of helping make the planet greener!  Kudos to Sprout Watches!

I enjoy wearing a watch as an accessory much like a handbag or sunglasses.  The telling of time comes secondary for me, however it is more convenient to glance at my wrist as opposed to digging through my handbag for my cell phone.  I recently received the Alessi Watch Kaj 10003 in brown.  The award winning industrial designer, Karim Rashid, designed this beautiful watch.  I love wearing this watch every day and really appreciate that it is very resistant to every day parental tasks.  At a retail price of $85, this is an every daytime piece that I would recommend to any chic mom who enjoys wearing a watch.  Also be sure to check out their new and very adorable children’s watch line!
