WeeSee
I tend to avoid television for my young one. Most of the shows out there aimed at his age group seem too fast and over-stimulating. When I discovered WeeSee it became a must-see for my son. It is one of the best DVD’s I’ve seen on the market for babies. It’s artistically designed and has keeps my child and I wanting more.
I most appreciate how slow each of the geometric shapes move across the television, giving your child a chance to follow the shapes as they move and change. You slowly watch the artwork build and evolve within 2-4 minutes of each “scene”.

WeeSee created two DVD’s. The first is composed of 14 animations with the most basic of shapes and the second with slightly more complex symbols such as stars, hearts and flowers. I have found myself whistling along to the soundtrack, an original score by Tim DeLaughter from the Polyphonic Spree. The changes in the screen go along with the music. Brilliant.
This is a fantastic DVD for parents who are wary of much of the over-stimulating television shows aimed at babies and toddlers. In addition to the animated portion, WeeSee offers a “flashcard mode” slideshow allowing the parent to decide when to introduce movement and music. Check out their website for a sneak peek of each of the DVD’s. I know you will be as impressed with these as I have been!
